CINCO SOULS SIGNS with HOLLYWOOD RECORDS
Rock band features CHRIS PEREZ and will record in English and Spanish

MIAMI, FL - CINCO SOULS, the rock band formed by guitarist CHRIS PEREZ, known for his work with the late Selena's backup band Los Dinos, has signed an exclusive recording contract with Hollywood Records, as announced today by Bob Cavallo, chairman of The Buena Vista Music Group, which includes Hollywood Records.

Cavallo commented on the signing: "Cinco Souls like rock-n-roll itself, is a great blend of cultures and influences. They're certain to make their mark within the rock en espanol movement but I think they'll appeal to all kinds of rock fans as well. I'm happy to welcome them to Hollywood Records."

"To record in English as well as Spanish is what the band and I have always wanted to do," comments Perez. "I'm really glad Bob Cavallo believes in us enough to sign us to his label considering his impressive track record and the artists he's been involved with throughout his career."

Formed by Perez in 1996 and based in Corpus Christi, Texas, CINCO SOULS also features Joe Ojeda, formerly keyboardist and songwriter with Selena's Los Dinos, bassist Rudy Martinez, formerly of La Mafia, vocalist John Garza and drummer Jesse Esquivel, both well known local talents.

CINCO SOULS will be entering the recording studio this summer and is expected to release its debut album on Hollywood Records later this year. Set to produce is Julian Raymond, who most recently produced Fastball's All The Pain Money Can Buy, which features "The Way," currently the #1 song in the country on Billboard's Modern Rock Radio chart.
