Moctezuma Esparza, producer of the Selena movie, said they'll start looking for an actress who will play the part of Selena next month.
With plans to start filming at the end of April, director, Gregory Nava, said that they'll be holding an open casting for two people to play the part of Selena in Los Angeles. Both an older, of course, and a younger Selena will be needed since Selena's career started back when she was only 9 years old. "I think the most important thing about Selena was her character, she was an incredible likable person. She had a magical touch with her town, and her people. She had a very special essence about her. This is what we what to capture, the actress will need to be able to portray her essence."
The filming will be done through Warner Brothers.
