43rd GRAMMYs Announced

At a press conference on October 31, Academy President/CEO Michael Greene announced that the 43rd awards show will take place on February 21, 2001. The Recording Academy will again have the annual GRAMMY Awards at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The GRAMMY Awards will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8-11 p.m. With the addition of two new categories, Best Native American Music Album and Best Pop Instrumental Album, the GRAMMYs will boast awards in 100 key categories.
