Mexican Independence Festival Announced

Dallas Texas, August 26, 1998: The much anticipated annual Fiesta Diez Y Seis at Artist Square in the Dallas Arts District will take place on Saturday, September 12th and Sunday, September 13th.

Fiesta Diez Y Sies celebrates Mexico's independence from Spain and is considered to be the most important holiday of the year by Hispanics of Mexican origin and other Hispanics from Latin American countries that also achieved their freedom during the month of September. Tuesday, September 15th also kicks-off National Hispanic Heritage Month and joins an increasing number of Hispanic events throughout the U.S.

The 4th Annual Fiesta Diez Y Sies is presented by Target and KICK 99.1 FM. Special ticket discount coupons are available at participating area Target stores. Other sponsors include; American Airline, Bud Light, NBC 5, Western Union, Fiesta Mart, Jack Daniel's Whiskey, El Sol de Texas, Kroger and Metrocell.

Live entertainment will be presented on two stages.
