Tejano Tee Off Celebrity Golf Tournament and Dance scheduled

San Antonio, November 18, 1997: Pura Vida Music Awards, Inc.
began their promotional campaign today with a press conference
at their first Celebrity Golf tournament at the Quarry Golf Club
in San Antonio with artists David Lee Garza y Los Musicales, Dee
Burleson, Ruben Ramos, George Rivas, David Marez and Javier Galvan
of Fama. Officials have also scheduled a dance for Sunday night
the 23rd at the Tejano Rodeo nightclub, featuring the premier
performance of the new "Grupo Vida", Amber Rose, and
eight other additional artists performing. Proceeds benefit the
PVMA scholarship fund, the Walk of Stars and annual Tejano Museum
Exhibit.
Executive Director Waldo Cedillo introduced the new National Marketing Director for PVMA, Inc., Wanda Reyes. It was announced today that the date has been officially set for the 7th Annual Pura Vida Awards Ceremony for Tuesday, January 27, 1998, at the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium. A capacity crowd of five thousand people are expected to attend. Tejano star hosts confirmed for the awards are Michael Salgado, Patsy Torres, Gary Hobbs and Javier Galvan of Fama. Tickets will go on sale soon through all Ticketmaster outlets. The Pura vida Awards 3 hour TV special will be televised on prime time in San Antonio from 7-10 PM on Paragon Cable and it will also be syndicated to other affiliates across the U.S. The one hour Pura Vida Radio Special will air on San Antonio^Òs official stations, KRIO 94.1 FM and KEDA 1540 AM. Mr. Cedillo also mentioned that the Pura Vida Awards will have the Grand Marshall float in this years Christmas river parade with artists Jay Perez, Little Joe and Campanas De America.
