Tejano Music Awards XVII
- The TMA XVII Kick Off Party will be on Wednesday, OCTOBER 16, 1996
at the El Dorado-Ranch, in Houston, Texas. It starts at 7pm.Headlining this
special event is none other than "El Borrado de La Onda Tejana", Mr. Gary Hobbs.
The artists performing in the TMA Kick-Off party are:
Elsa Garcia, Laura Canales, Letty Guval, Delia Gonzales (Culturas), Agnes Torres
(New Variety Band), Anna Roman, Stephanie Lynn, Annette Arredondo (Axxion),
Patsy Torres, Rhonda Lee, Margo Reymundo, Linda V. Blanca (Grupo Cielo), Laura
Linda, Jennifer Pena (Los Jetz), Esmi Talamantez, Elyssia Marie, Stephani, Noami,
Amanda and Nadja.
- TMA NOMINEES DANCE - Saturday, January 25, 1997, Corpus Christi, Texas. A
dance to remember. In memorable Corpus Christi, Texas. Plenty of time to plan for

- TMA VIDEO AWARDS - Saturday, February 15, 1997, Dance Across Texas, Austin,
Texas. Get ready to view some of the most well produced, recorded videos from the
Tejano Music industry and be there for the awards presentation. As always this is

- TMA AMIGOS RECEPTION - Friday February 28, 1997, Market Square, San
Antonio, Texas. The 1996 reception was a big hit. Held at historical Market Square in
San Antonio it was a great party. Here is a really nice event. Join the Amigos. Get in
on some really great fun and discounts!
- TMA FANFAIR WEEKEND - If your not an Amigo, you can still have some really
great fun during this weekend of February 28, 1997. (Friday) Held in conjunction with
the Amigo's Reception at historic Market Square, in San Antonio, Texas the TMA
FANFAIR WEEKEND gives all tejano fans a real opportunity to meet Tejano artists,
dance to tejano music, during this weekend.
- XVII TEJANO MUSIC AWARDS, Saturday, March 1, 1997, Alamodome, San Antonio,
Texas. Better and bigger than ever! It takes the dome to host this great event. If you
want to get the best seating start getting ready to get your tickets and planning your
