SINGING BARTENDER IN MOVIE
"MI AMIGO"

Nashville, TN / Mobile, AL - Country/Tejano/Pop entertainer Freddy Fender will be in Mobile, Alabama, on October 18th to film a role for the movie "Mi Amigo".

The movie is being produced by Mr. Milton Brown, a Mobile resident, whose credits include penning the hit "Every Which Way But Loose" - The Clint Eastwood Film.

Steve Dorff, a very noted record producer, will be producing the soundtrack to coincide with the movie. Freddy will appear both on the soundtrack and in the movie as a Mexican singing bartender. Country music entertainer Janie Fricke will also appear on the soundtrack.

Although Fender will be an on-screen bartender, he is celebrating his 14th year of sobriety. Fender, a resident of Corpus Christi, is known for cross-over million selling hits "Wasted Days and Wasted Nights" and "Before the Next Teardrop Falls".

He is also the only Hispanic entertainer to win an Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award, Country Music Association (CMA) Award, and two Grammy Awards.
