GRUPO VIDA was the former band behind the sound and excitement of Eddie Gonzalez's best selling record, "Kick It." They are the most exciting live band in Tejano music. As Ramiro Burr said, "When this group burst on the scene a couple of years ago with Eddie, GRUPO VIDA demonstrated that they were far ahead of the Tejano herd with original songs, arrangements, and superb execution on stage." GRUPO VIDA features, new singer, Art Tijerina; Manny Gonzalez on Bass; Hector Fuentes, Sax; Jason Martinez, Guitar; Javier Sauceda, Keyboards; Tim Villanueva, Drums; and of course Sunny Sauceda, on Accordion.
GRUPO VIDA's new Cd, on Tejas Records, entitled "VIDA", features their first single, "Sin Buenas Condiciones," written by Sunny Sauceda. Their first video exhibits the raw energy this band possesses. The crowds love to see their performances because they are both entertaining and unpredictable. They were nominated for the 1997 TTMA Awards for "Most Promising Band of the Year" and "Showband of the Year." They were also featured in the 1998 Pura Vida Awards. Breaking out on their own was the right move for this talented group. Tejas Records plans to put all of it's energy into making GRUPO VIDA a household name. In the few short weeks that they have been with Tejas, this group has already gained a great deal of momentum in both radio and in the press. Some major acts are not receiving the same visibility and attention that GRUPO VIDA is capturing. GRUPO VIDA has an excellent fan base throughout the country due to the fact that they are outgoing and make themselves accessible to their fans. Look for their new Cd, "VIDA", and be sure to check out these guys LIVE, You won't be disappointed! |
