"Jackie" was born in Houston, Texas and was raised in the Corpus Christi area. She began her career a year ago and has already captured the hearts of numerous fans. However, Jackie has always been interested in music. Her strong voice has helped her throughout the one year she has been performing although she had no previous experience in the music industry. The "energetic" Jackie is inspired by many different artists.

Although Jackie has spent most of her time working full time in a business atmosphere, she has never forgotten her love for music. With the support from many, she was given the opportunity to begin her recognition. Her first debut was at "Johnnyland" in Corpus Christi, Texas, where the public would get a quick glimpse of Jackie during her solo performance. She won the attentino of many and was encouraged to form a band after that performance. "Jackie y el grupo romantico" was formed in November 1995. It did not take long for the anxious year of 1996, Jackie successfully completed her demo consisting of three (3) songs with the help of the staff at Phat Kat Groove.

Jackie's success has been attributed to her great personality and "fun loving attiude" toward everyone around her. She has devoted some of her spare to many children in the surrounding schools and communities who are inspired by her talent for encouragement and success. As she says to many of the children, "if there is something good that you believe in strongly, just GO FOR IT, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it!"

Through a combination of musical talent and experience, the professional band members of "Jackie y el grupo romantico", with their dedication and ambition for success have led Jackie to a great start. They too, have the desire to become known as one of the best some day. Through prayer, practice and the energy they portray on stage, they plan to win the respect of many fans as well as a place on top with the best.
