Jonny Martinez one of the most aggressive new entertainers on the
current Tejano Music horizon. This Vaquero Loco (Crazy Cowboy) from San Antonio, Texas brings a fresh energetic approach to Tejano's traditional essence with versatile instrumental fire. The San Antonio voice captivates his audiences, not only with his professionally lighted, non-stop performances, but with his wit , charm, and flare for attention that quickly converts crowds into loyal fans. "La Musiquera" introduced him as a Joey International Recording Act, who confirms his initial promise with a result of his first album Caminos Chuecos. The caliente column Music has always been a vital part of Jonny's life. Raised in southern Texas, he grew up around music and was taught to sing by his Father, Anselmo "Chemiro" Martinez, whom lead the tejano industry and was inducted into the Tejano Hall of Fame. We have the Texas Talent Musicians Association: Tejano Music to thank for that. Having an exstensive background in entertainment, ranging from musicals, commercials, and dance productions, Martinez incorporates his experience to his advantage on stage. Jonny's has had the priveledge of performing with his renouned Father and Top Caliber Acts that are now in the industry like Tropa F, Emilio, Michael Salgado, Ram Herrera, Desperadoz and also recorded a song on his Second CD "Chaparrita de oro" with Eddie Gonzalez. Jonny has donated his time and will continue to several organizations: Special Olympics, Boys and Girls Clubs, MDA, Texas Folklife, and Elf Louise. Martinez loves to talk to kids of today, for they will be the Kids of tomorrow.
