June 3, 1997 - SAN ANTONIO:GRAMMY Award- winning Sony artist La Mafia kicks-off the "1997 En Tus Manos Tour" with an exclusive CD release party today at the River Walk Hard Rock Cafe, announced Sony Discos Vice President Ray Martinez.

"We're extremely excited about this new album," said Martinez. "We're getting inquiries from across the continent. I expect En Tus Manos to surpass all of our expectations."

After an in-store autograph session at Target, La Mafia celebrates with a Hard Rock V.I.P. reception to celebrate their newest release, a finely crafted collection of songs that amply demonstrates why La Mafia remains one of the most enduringly popular groups in the hemisphere.

Following the San Antonio debut, the band travels to Miami tape a guest spot on the "Sabado Gigante" Show and then to Mexico City for a series of monster concerts culminating in a Monterrey appearance and CD release party on June 10. Radio, television and print journalists from throughout Mexico and Latin America will attend a press conference with La Mafia there as part of the simultaneous international release of En Tus Manos.

The band makes a triumphant return to Houston for a hometown CD release at Auchan Hypermarket on June 12, then flies to Mexico City for a series of concerts and television appearances, and finally to Los Angeles for a major performance at the famed Greek Theatre on June 20.

According to Jose Rosario, of the Sony Discos Los Angeles office, La Mafia is scheduled to make in-store autograph session appearances in Bakersfield and Anaheim before traveling to La Vegas, Nevada and then on to Phoenix, Arizona.
