SAN ANTONIO - Sony Discos is pleased to issue a media bulletin on behalf of
Grammy Award-winning and four-time Grammy nominated La Mafia. A Latin music
industry mainstay, with roots in Tejano and an undisputable record of
international Latin pop cross-over hits, La Mafia will launch its latest bid
for the coveted GRAMMY Award from San Antonio.
A strong fan base, the city of San Antonio has embraced La Mafia's club and Rodeo appearances with record attendance. Album sales continue to outpace those of other Texas-based Latino bands. Consequently, La Mafia, in conjunction with KXTN FM, offers a private, un-plugged concert performance in San Antonio to follow the scheduled press conference. Nominated in the "Best Mexican-American/Tejano Performance" for their newest CD release, En Tus Manos, La Mafia will be on hand for photo ops and interviews before flying to Manhattan on Tuesday, February 24th to participate in the 40th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony to beheld at Radio City Music Hall on Wednesday February 25th. |
