NOTICE: This is not an official site for Selena information. I do not represent Q Productions, Selena Etc., Selena's Fan Club, The Dinos, etc. It is just a web page I started on April 3, 1995 as a tribute to her.

Married: April 2, 1992 to Chris Perez

1980 - Selena y Los Dinos first began performing.
1983 - First recording from Selena y Los Dinos.
1987 - Received first success with Female Vocalist of the Year and
     - Performer of the Year awards at the Tejano Music Awards.
1989 - Signed by EMI Latin.
1990 - Her first EMI-Latin album, "Selena y Los Dinos" is released.
1991 - First female Tejano recording artist to score a Gold Record
       with "Ven Conmigo".
1993 - Grammy for best Mexican American performance for "Selena Live".
     - Selena Etc. clothing manufacturing business begun.
1994 - Won a role as singer in the film "Don Juan DeMarco". Due in
       theaters in April 7.
     - Band debuted in New York, Los Angeles, Argentina & Puerto Rico.
     - Became the first female crossover Latin artist signed to SBK,
       sister label to EMI Latin.
     - Nov, Introduced an educational video for students at Cunningham
       Middle School, sponsored by Dep Corp.
1995 - Was in process of recording her first English language album
       that was expected to launch her into a crossover career.
     - Won six Tejano Music Awards, including top female vocalist for
       the eighth time.
     - Nominated for a second Grammy for "Amor Prohibido".
     - Hispanic Business magazine reports Selena has assests worth $5 
       Million dollars.
