1999 LATIN STYLE MUSIC AWARDS POSTPONED UNTIL DECEMBER

For Immediate Release October 13, 1999

(Los Angeles, CA) The Inaugural Latin Style Music Awards originally scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 1999, at the Shrine Auditorium has been postponed until the first week of December 1999. The awards show will continue to be televised nationally, and with the new date it will allow for a larger audience reach.

Says Latin Style Magazine Editor Walter Martinez: "While our hearts were in the right place, artists participation, scheduling conflicts, and logistics overwhelmed our expectations and rather than stage a second-class production, we felt compelled to postpone the show to a future date."

"We, like the fans are disappointed about the temporary postponement, however we are confident with the extra time, we will be able to deliver an even bigger and better show," says Martinez.

Bacardi, Superior Super Warehouse and Kraft Foods will remain as presenting sponsors for the awards show in December.

Staying on-board for the event in December are: Tito Puente, Tito Puente Jr., Elsie Muniz, Salsa Congress Orchestra, Giselle, Texas Tornados, Puya, and Santana, with more to be announced at later date.
