question: what is going on with SPM these days. Went from high status to hardly hearing nothing about him. New cd on the loose when is that release date? Just out of curiousity and probably the only person here on the net to give the facts and not bullcrap. really do appreciate your response from someone who is local in the san antonio area.
thanks,

The rumor about his death had been circulating for at least a year but it is not true. Yet somehow it continues.
You can write him at:

Powledge Unit Rt. 2
Box 2250
Palestine, TX 75882
babygirl_20082003@yahoo.com
Thanks
Also, we remind folks:
Some of the most frequent inquiries we get here are searches for song
lyrics, music tabs, sheet music, hard-to-find CD and album from the
past, or group tour updates, or advise on how to be a songwriter, or a
book writer or how to prepare for a quinceaneras or is SPM really DEAD?
So instead of answering the same questions each week, we have produced a
huge and growing Resources page here. On the main page of this
www.ramiroburr.com website just click on the Resources hyperlink and it
will provide you with a big list of sources to find the items above. IF
you still can't find what you are looking for, submit your question.
Good luck.

"Traveling with Adan were three individuals including his long-time manager and friend, Ms. Lorena Rodriguez of Santa Ana, California. All three were reportedly hospitalized and are recuperating in Mexico. No additional details are available at this time. "We wish a speedy and complete recovery to Adan's fellow travelers, especially to Ms. Rodriguez, with whom we have a very close working relationship," concluded Behar."

"Careers For People Who Love to Write" San Antonio Express-News music reporter/author Ramiro Burr details career options for people who need to express themselves through the written word. Some people enjoy the daily rush that general-assignment reporters experience tracking down sources and meeting deadlines. Some like to write columns, taking a point of view and representing a voice of the community. Others choose the freelance route, pitching their stories and reviews to magazines. Still others are drawn to the in-depth research involved in book writing. As someone who juggles these four roles, Burr provides valuable insight into many facets of the writing profession.

My daughter is gonna have her quinceniera next year. I plan on having some mariaches for her. I would love to have them play that song for her again. Every mariache band I have approached has never heard of the song of which I speak of. Like I said...I'm desperate and turning to you for help. Maybe you or your fans have heard of this song and can get me a copy of the lyrics. I greatly appreciate anything you can do for me. Anyone having information of this song please e-mail me at: HPanalez@aol.com. Thank You.
Also, try checking at www.elmariachi.com, under Songs.

What happened to KKQK? Is there plans for a new station to take its place? I can't believe Houston does not currently have a Tejano station.......what happened to Texas in the past seven years??
KQQK was bought by a new owner and they decided to switch formats.
All kinds of music genres and movements, from punk and pop, to disco and grunge go through up and down cycles.
Tejano is in a down cycle, sure to revive at some point.
Meantime, the continuing immigration from Mexico is, has and always will keep pumping up the regional Mexican market, which includes norteno, banda, and grupo music genres.
A lot of this is explained in my Tejano book (details below).

I got your email recently regarding radio play. But the subject sounds too sensitive to discuss on a public website such as this. Can you remail me direct at rburr@express-news.net, or call 210-250-3429.
