Sharp barbs and hot remarks by a host of celebrities aimed at Abraham Quintanilla will be lead by Academy Award nominee actor Edward James Olmos at the TEMA Second Annual Celebrity Roast to be held at La Villita Assembly Hall on Thursday, August 26, 1999.

TEMA president, Rudy R Trevino, said, "The public is cordially invited to attend our special fundraising event and participate as "friends" of Abraham Quintanilla set the stage ablaze with tidbits of music industry inside jokes and humorous stories about the most controversial figures in the Tejano music scene today. We guarantee that this year's celebrity roast will definitely turn into a scorching BARB-A-Q! This fun filled energy includes comedy and music entertainment. Invited guests include Tejano recording artists, celebrities, business and community leaders.

Performing on stage: Emilio Navaira; Jennifer y Los Jetz; Carlos Guzman; Pete Astudillo; Laura Aguirre; Kareley and comedians Fred Hernandez and Cleto Rodriguez. The celebrity roasters dishing out the "Barbs" include Record Company Executives, Radio Station Personnel, Recording Artists, Concert Promoters, Elected Officials, Television Producers and Newspaper Executives.

Admission is $10.00 pre-sale and $15.00 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at the door, however, space is limited. Proceeds from the fundraising event go to benefit the Tejano Entertainers & Music Association (TEMA) a non-profit organization whose mission is to present Tejano music through cultural and community events.
